The rules for using our site and services, written to be read.
Last updated: October 14, 2026. These terms apply to piratehound.com and to PirateHound's services, operated by 5DayDeal LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site or our services, you agree to them.
What we provide
PirateHound searches for pirated copies of digital products, verifies what it finds, and, for paying clients, files removal requests with search engines, hosting companies, file hosts and platforms. The free piracy report is a one-time scan of the product you tell us about.
No guarantee of removal
We work hard to get pirated copies removed, but we can't guarantee any particular result. Some sites and hosts ignore removal requests, and copies can be re-uploaded. Our reports show what was removed and what is still pending.
Not legal advice
We are not a law firm and nothing on this site or in our reports is legal advice. For legal questions, talk to a lawyer.
Your authorization and accuracy
Before we file any notice for you, you'll confirm in writing that you own the rights to the products involved, or are authorized to act for the owner, and which products we may act on. You agree that the information you give us is accurate. We review every notice before it's filed, and we may decline to file one if we aren't confident it's correct.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. There's no long-term contract: you can cancel any time and the service stops at the end of the month you've paid for. Prices are listed on our website and may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing clients.
Acceptable use
Don't use our forms or services to target material you don't have the rights to, to harass anyone, or to submit false information. We may refuse or end service if that happens.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost sales.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
